Antalya City Guide

Antalya, located in the Mediterranean Region of Turkey, is one of Turkey’s top tourism destinations with its 630km coastline. The city’s center, built on two plains along the Mediterranean coast, is on the other plain. The northern portion of the city is on the other plain. Antalya is where history, sun, nature, and sea meet. Each area of Antalya is a natural wonder.

Visit these places

The most popular Antalya districts are Side, Side, Kemer and Alanya. Antalya is not a place to visit for its beaches, sand, and sun. Antalya’s approximately 50 ancient cities are a historical treasure. It would be a mistake to leave Antalya without seeing these ancient cities. Olympos in Kumluca, and Aspendos (Serik District) are the most visited and well-known ancient cities. Olympos has been the subject matter of mythology throughout history. Olympos is a natural marvel with its 3200m coastline and lush vegetation. You can also visit Aspendos and Slyon when you travel to Serik.

Because of Antalya’s natural structure, you can enjoy all four seasons in Antalya. You can also swim in the ocean and ski at the Saklikent Ski Center located 50 kilometers away. Antalya is home to everything you need about history, nature, and the sea.

Culture and Entertainment

As part of its cultural identity, Antalya hosts many festivals. The Antalya Golden orange Film Festival is the most important. This festival is a key event for Turkish cinema. Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, a special organization, aims to offer cultural services to tourists visiting Antalya. Other important festivals include Antalya’s Piano Festival, Beachpark Rock Festival and Antalya’s International Short Film/Video Festival.

The city’s cultural and social life is dominated by theatre, ballet, orchestra, art galleries, cinema, and opera. Antalya’s entertainment scene is more dynamic and diverse than that of a tourist city. Beach activities are the heartbeat of entertainment in this city. The main activities on the beach include step, aerobics and beach football. Modern hotels and holiday villages offer all the entertainment options for tourists from all walks.

Drinking and eating

Many fruits and vegetables are grown in the inner city, particularly in people’s gardens. You can find great alternatives to Turkish and international cuisine in Antalya’s hotels, holiday villages, and restaurants. Antalya is well-known for its citrus fruits.
